The board agreed that the meeting had been convened properly and that there was a quorum.
2023 Award
Falk recalled that the 2023 award had been presented to Randy Bush and that the award ceremony went very well and was well received by the community.
Niall reported that Randy had gracefully declined to accept the money the foundation offers with the award.
Report from the Treasurer
Niall reported that he had received the full reports on the foundation’s accounts from the RIPE NCC: In 2022 we had expenses of €13,087 for the award and bank charges resulting in a positive balance of €21,849. In 2023 we had an income of €50,000 from donations and expenses of €112 for bank charges resulting in a positive balance of €71,737.
Niall added that he is still investigating how to best set up a bank account for the foundation since it is difficult to find a Dutch bank that accepts a foundation with board members not located in the Netherlands.
